映画『キャプテンビビッド』は，その独特さから日本国内で広く知られる施設『北の京（みやこ）・芦別』で撮影されました。
Our latest film “Captain Vivid” were shot at “Kita no Miyako Ashibetsu (Nothern palace of Ahibetsu)”, where is well known in Japan because of it’s unique sence of beauty.

かつてホテルだったこの施設は，表向きには『日本の伝統美』をテーマとして建設されたようです。
Ostensibly, this ex-accommodation was built under the concept of “Japanese Traditional style of beauty”.

しかし実際には，創立者が自身の特殊な美的センスを反映させて建設され、
その結果、日本の伝統からかけ離れた、過剰で奇妙な世界観を持つ空間となっています。
But acutually the place was designed according to the founder’s quite unique vision (or obsession), as a result, its style became gaudy and bizzare.

個人の個性的な世界観が具現化した『理想世界』であるこの施設は，日本有数の巨大なアウトサイダーアートと言えるかも知れません。
（『アウトサイダーアート』とは，作者の持つ個人的な世界を、既成の技術にこだわらず表現した芸術作品のことを指します。）
“Kita no Miyako Ashibetsu” is a personal ideal realm of the founder, that’s why it could be said one of the biggest outsider art in Japan.

『キャプテンビビッド』は、この施設を舞台に、特殊な美的センスを持つ人々がぶつかりあうＳＦ映画です。
“Captain Vivid” is the sci-fi film about diversity of aethetics.
